Christian is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with experience primarily working with children and families at Cottonwood Residential Treatment Center, a local intensive youth residential treatment program, since 2018. He has served at Cottonwood in both direct care and clinical roles, and continues to provide individualized, relationship-based clinical services to youth and families there.

During his master’s level practicum and following, Christian served in an Emergency Services/Crisis Counselor role, assisting children, adolescents, adults, and families in navigating mental and behavioral health crises.

Christian specializes in joining with adolescents (children age 10 and above), adults, and families experiencing a variety of developmental, emotional, behavioral, and personality disorders from a trauma-informed perspective using a psychodynamic, family systems, and attachment theory-oriented approach to facilitate healing by exploring the impact of painful past experiences and relationships on current functioning. He is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and uses tools from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy to promote healing and growth.
